The Centennial Centaurs defeated the Holy Cross Crusaders 34-0 in Friday night's high school football exhibition season opener.

The Centennial Centaurs varsity football team opened its exhibition schedule with a convincing 34-0 win over the AA Holy Cross Crusaders Friday night, Sept. 6, at the Centennial turf field.

The Coquitlam school, which finished with two wins and four losses last season, scored on its first possession of the ball when Isaiah Lecesne pulled down a quick out pass from quarterback Jacob Cusker and scampered into the end zone.

Centennial led 21-0 at the half.

Meanwhile, the cross-town Terry Fox Ravens from Port Coquitlam lost its opening exhibition game, 36-21, to the Carson Graham Eagles.
