The Coquitlam Express are in the BC Hockey League playoffs.
But just where they’ll be seeded is still to be determined.
The Express defeated the Cowichan Valley Capitals 4-1 Saturday, the team’s second win in two nights on Vancouver Island after a 2-1 over the Victoria Grizzlies on Friday.
Coquitlam plays Victoria again Sunday at the Q Centre to close out a five-game road trip that started with losses in Penticton and Wenatchee.
Saturday at the Cowichan Community Centre, the Express spotted the home team a 1-0 lead in the first period before scoring the next four goals.
Mirko Buttazzoni tied it 13:27 into the second period with his 15th goal of the season followed by third period goals by Mateo Dixon, Ray Hamlin and Blake Setter into an empty net.
Brady Smith stopped 23 shots in Coquitlam’s net to earn his fifth win of the season.
The Capitals’ Luke Renaud faced 39 shots.
The results leave the Express in fifth place in the BCHL’s Coastal division with 46 points. That’s the same as the Grizzlies, who’ve played one less game, and just four behind the third place Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The third-place Chilliwack Chiefs have 47 points in 42 games.
