Ladies and gentlemen, start your shopping carts.
The new Coquitlam T& T Supermarket is opening this Thursday (June 1) at 9 a.m. with gift cards and other deals for eager shoppers.
Those looking forward to getting a glimpse of the second T & T Supermarket in the city might be interested to know that it will have a large seafood area and a wide range of Asian groceries in a 37,769 sq. ft. floor plan.
The Lougheed store, located at 1085 Woolridge St., was previously a Home Outfitters store and it took a year to renovate the building at a cost of $2.5 million, according to City of Coquitlam permit information.
A spokesperson for the company stated the store was developed after "consumer requests."
This location will also offer e-commerce options for consumers to buy online or for delivery.
Some of the deals shoppers can expect include:
- A $10 gift card for the first 200 customers on opening day
- A T&T re-usable bag for purchases over $68 (before tax)
- A T&T $10 coupon for purchases of $88 (before tax) from June 1–4
- A T&T shopping cart coin with any purchase
The store's opening follows on the heels of a new store in Toronto.
Prior to the store's opening, a special celebration for invited guests will be held and will include an appearance by CEO Tina Lee.
