A warrant has been issued for a Lower Mainland man who's previously been charged for related crimes in the Tri-Cities.
Paul Ayers is listed in Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers' latest "most wanted" report from Tuesday (May 10) and is sought by police on possession of stolen property — an offence he's been tried for in previous years.
In fact, the 48-year-old man's last known provincial court appearance was in Port Coquitlam.
He's facing charges for theft under $5,000 and assault for an incident in Maple Ridge in August 2021.
According to B.C. online court services, a bench warrant was issued in November and no other progress has been made since.
As well, Ayers was charged one count of motor vehicle theft in Coquitlam on Aug. 28, 2021, but was released on bail two days later.
His parole jurisdiction is Chilliwack, but Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers is hoping the regional public can help find Ayers by relaying his information from police.
Ayers is described as:
- 6'3"
- 179 pounds
- Brown hair
- Hazel eyes
Anyone with more information about Ayers or his whereabouts is urged to call their local police detachment, anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or go online to www.solvecrime.ca.
Crime Stoppers says a $5,000 reward could be granted if tips and details lead to an arrest and charge.
