Turn your dog's paw prints into an artwork at this Coquitlam hub

PAWcasso, a pARTy@PdA event for adults and their canine pets, runs in the garden at Coquitlam's Place des Arts on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Take your dog to Coquitlam’s Place des Arts on Sunday, Sept. 8 to paint al fresco.

The Maillardville facility is back with PAWcasso, a pARTy@PdA event for adults and their canine pets that runs in the garden from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If it rains, the session will move indoors.

First, participants will dip their animal’s paws into non-toxic paint and have them walk over their canvases; then, painters will blend in their dog’s prints with a paint brush to create an artwork — like Picasso.

To join in the fun, dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations and be leashed (no retractable leashes are permitted and only one dog per participant is allowed).

Tickets to PAWcasso are $30 per person/dog, or $50 for two people/dogs, via Eventbrite.ca.

Meanwhile, Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) has new events geared to adults lined up for the new season:
