Firefighters flapjacks

Bring your family and your appetite for the Port Moody firefighters 47th annual pancake breakfast, a fundraiser for Tri-City charities including the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, SHARE and Crossroads Hospice. The feast runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Inlet Centre fire hall (150 Newport Dr., Port Moody).

Farmers fields

Grab your grocery bags and tour the vendors’ booths at the Coquitlam Farmers Market, happening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam).

Trooper

Head over to Rocky Point Park (2800-block of Murray Street, Port Moody) for some entertainment and meals at the 47th annual Golden Spike Days Festival. Hosted by the volunteer Golden Spike Days Society, the all-ages celebration of the last CP Rail spike in Port Moody runs all weekend: Today from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and July 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is by donation. Trooper headlines at 8 p.m.
