Lunchtime tunes
Take some time out while shopping or getting services in downtown Port Coquitlam by stopping by city hall (2850 Shaughnessy St.), where from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the municipality will have its Lunchtime Music Series at Veterans Park. Today’s entertainer is Sue Breton.

Spray day
Get your water blasters ready! Volunteers withe the Port Coquitlam Community Police, as well as Coquitlam Mounties, PoCo firefighters and Metro Vancouver Transit Police will be at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) from 1 to 3 p.m. for a spray day in the Terry Fox Hometown Square. No registration is required. Police and fire vehicles will be on display.

PoMo market
Head over to the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.) where the southern parking lot will be filled with vendors for the weekly summer farmers market, on from 3 to 7 p.m. The market is run by the Grow Local Society.
