Summer Market

Bring your empty grocery bags to the Summer Farmers Market, on from 3 to 7 p.m. in the parking lot at the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.). The market runs until Oct. 9, 2024.

Storytime at Mackin

Kids ages three to five and their caregivers can dress in their pyjamas and listen to stories told by Coquitlam librarians at Mackin House (1116 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) from 7 to 8 p.m.

Art Demo

Art Focus Artists Association hosts a demo by artist Dale Bhyre, who is a member of the Canadian Society of Marine Artists and a senior member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. The event from 7 to 9 p.m. is in the Outlet at Leigh Square (2248 McAllister Ave., Port Coquitlam)

Songs for Nobodies

Sheila Sharma performs in Songs for Nobodies, a one-person show that weaves the music and lives of five legendary singers: Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, Edith Piaf, Billie Holiday and Maria Callas. Presented by First Impressions Theatre, the production at Coquitlam's Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way) at 7:30 p.m. is by Joanna Murray-Smith. Tickets are $47/$40/$16.
