Original art

Members of the Coquitlam Art Club will have their work for show and sale in the annual fall show in the Centennial Room at the Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free. There will be live art demos and free draws for prizes.

Winter market

The Winter Farmers Market is on in the parking lot next to the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Talk to the vendors, shop for local produce and wares and enjoy the entertainment. The market is organized by the Grow Local Society.

Family day

Children and their caregivers can spend the afternoon creating crafts at Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) for Family Day. From 1 to 3 p.m., the free event includes an exploration of the current exhibits as well as a discovery of new art mediums. Pre-registration is encouraged.

Trailblazers game

Cheer on the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers as they face the Abbotsford Pilots for a game at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) at 3 p.m.

Urban coyotes

Learn how to live with wild coyotes in the Tri-Cities. The Stanley Park Ecology Society will offer a free information session to residents about coyote breeding behaviours, common myths and misconceptions about the animal, how to respond in coyote encounters and tips for managing trash. The session, from 3 to 4 p.m. in Room 3 at the Town Centre Park Community Centre in Coquitlam (1207 Pinetree Way), is open to all ages.

Catch the Port Moody Panthers for a hockey game opposite the North Vancouver Wolf Pack on home ice at the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.) at 6:15 p.m.
