Drop into Mackin House (1116 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Feb. 1 to 8 to make a Valentine’s card for your sweetie. You can learn about love letters through history. Materials will be provided. The drop-in is free and no registration is required.

Don’t trash your broken household items and clothing. Instead, take them to the Repair Café run by the City of Port Coquitlam and the Port Coquitlam Rotarians. The session is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Port Coquitlam Public Works Yard (1737 Broadway St.). Donations are welcome.

Into The Woods
Musical theatre students at Port Coquitlam's Riverside Secondary (2215 Reeve St.) perform the full version of Into The Woods, the Stephen Sondheim classic about fairytales and twisted fates. Based on a book by James Lapine, the school show starts at 1 p.m. and is directed, produced, choreographed and set designed by Nicole Roberge.

Storytelling
Learn how to write and tell stories to heal and transform with Carmy Stubbs, the novelist behind The Six Knowings of ASAIRA, a metaphysical fantasy. The workshop by the Tri-City Wordsmiths is from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Terry Fox Library (inside the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, 2150 Wilson Ave.) or via Zoom. The Stones
Sticky Fingers, a Rolling Stones tribute band led by Stuart Turnbull as Mick Jagger, performs the band’s hits over the years, including “Satisfaction,” “Gimme Shelter” and “Jumping Jack Flash.” Tickets to the show at 7:30 p.m. at the Inlet Theatre (inside Port Moody City Hall, 100 Newport Dr.) are $38 in advance or $45 at the door.

Salsa moves
Take a cha-cha-cha lesson then dance the night away with the Salsa Dance Zone at the Royal Canadian Legion (2675 Shaughnessy St., Port Coquitlam) from 8 p.m. to midnight. The event is for ages 19+. Admission is $15 at the door.
