Noon Year’s Eve
Drop in to the Port Moody Public Library inside city hall (100 Newport Dr.) from 11 a.m. to noon to count down the new year at 12 p.m. The family event includes photo booths, crafts and a dance party.

New Year’s Eve
Coquitlam musicians Rosemary O’Connor and Reg Quiring are back at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way) for their annual QuiRing the New Year concert with special guests, at 7:30 p.m. Sparkling wine and dessert will be served to ticket-holders. Tickets are $51/$44/$16.

Legion romp
Ring in 2025 at the Coquitlam legion (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) where the Rhythm Street band will entertain, and a roast brisket dinner and dessert will be served up to revellers. Doors open at 8 p.m. for the party. Sparkling wine and party favours will be available. Tickets are $55.

Stroll around Lafarge Lake in Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) where the lights for Lights at Lafarge will be on until midnight.
