Winter market

Grab your grocery bags and tour the Winter Farmers Market, on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot next to the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.). Talk to the Metro Vancouver vendors and learn about their businesses.

Train tea

Sip on tea on an old train in front of the POMO Museum (2734 Murray St., Port Moody). Seatings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The cost is $15/$10.

Holiday skate

Skate with Santa and his helpers at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Disco night

Don your brightest decorations (and sweater!) for a festive dance party at Lights at Lafarge, held at Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam). From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the city's Park Spark team will host the activity for all ages.

Ring around the Trailblazers

The Port Coquitlam Trailblazers junior hockey team will test its ringette skills in a special exhibition game against the Port Coquitlam Ridge Meadows Ringette Association's Open A team. The 8 p.m. game at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre is a fundraiser for the SHARE food bank with admission by a food or cash donation .
