Give Her Wings gala
The Tri-City Soroptomists host their annual gala, Give Her Wings, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Mabbett Room at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). The event recognizes girls and women who have overcome challenges to achieve their goals. Tickets at $65 include a glass of wine and appetizers. There will also be a silent auction and 50/50 draw.

Karaoke night
Sing your favourite tunes and entertain the crowd at the Royal Canadian Legion branch 263 in Coquitlam (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) from 7 to 10 p.m.

Cheer on the Coquitlam Express hockey team as they battle the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on home ice, the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.), at 7 p.m.

Motus O dancers
James Croker, Cynthia Croker and Jack Langenhuizen are the artistic directors of the Canadian dance theatre company MOTUS O. At 7:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way), the trio will perform Confessional of a Professional Dancer in the Studio Theatre. Tickets are $37/$34/$16.
