A Port Moody family has been chosen by the HomeTeam for a home renovation to make their townhouse more livable.
Kathleen Black and her family have been selected by Cornerstone Seventh Day Adventist Church for a project planned planned for Sept. 16-22 and a spokesman said electrical, plumbing and trades are needed to help out.
"Once again we are appealing to our many partners and supporters who have been a blessing to the Home Team for 11 previous projects dating back to 2007 to assist us in this," stated Russ McCann in a press release.
Black has a severe inflammatory autoimmune skeletal disease, is mobility impaired and legally blind, and needed help for a renovation that was left unfinished when she began chemotherapy and other treatments several years ago.
McCann said he is looking for trades that have helped out with 11 previous projects as well as new trades that might be able to come on board to complete the renovation.
Days for viewing the extent of the project have been set for July 11 and 23 from 2-5 p.m.
