A luxury penthouse condo in the heart of Port Moody's Suter Brook Village sold for $2.15 million in early February, despite concerns about rising interest rates and inflation.
According to Zealty.ca, the home, located at 2607-301 Capilano Rd., was on the market for 155 days.
So, it wasn't a quick sale, compared to a slew of homes that recently sold in Coquitlam in five days or less.
Still, the home was purchased for nearly $150,000 more than its 2023 assessed value ($2,001,000), according to BC Assessment.
Featuring 3,000 sq. ft. of indoor/outdoor living space on three levels, with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a large deck, the property sold on Feb. 7.
It was one of 36 homes reported sold in Port Moody in the last two weeks.
A virtual tour of the apartment by listing agent Tobi Dobranski may have have assisted in the sale as it told a story of luxury living, close to shopping and SkyTrain with mountain views.
Potential buyers who viewed the video were encouraged to consider living their "dreams" with spa-like outdoor living and soaring drone shots of the city and the apartment building.
A bottle of wine and two glasses were perched on the the ledge of a bubbling hot tub.
The decor was a mix of crisp, white flooring and smoky grey accents.
Built in 2012, the apartment also has air conditioning, three parking stalls and access to 30,000 sq. ft of amenities.
