Second appeal for witnesses in Port Coquitlam car accident

This woman witnessed a motor vehicle incident involving a pedestrian in Port Coquitlam on April 11, 2023, and RCMP are asking the public to help identify her.

Coquitlam RCMP are renewing an appeal for witnesses and video in relation to a motor vehicle incident that happened on Coast Meridian Road and Coquitlam Avenue in Port Coquitlam in April.

The accident involved a black SUV and a pedestrian, according to police; however, no further details have been released about the incident.

The Coquitlam RCMP Investigational Support Team (IST) is still looking to identify a key witness who was near the scene at 1 p.m. on April 11, 2023.

The witness is described as a Middle Eastern woman with dark shoulder-length hair, wearing a light-blue hooded jacket and dark pants.

According to a press release at the time, the woman was last seen boarding a Coast Mountain bus in the area.

“Coquitlam RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this on-going investigation,” said Cpl. Alexa Hodgins. 

“Police are asking anyone who has not spoken to our investigators and may have information or video of the incident that took place on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 around 1 p.m. on Coast Meridian Road at Coquitlam Avenue to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550.”
