Round of applause for Port Coquitlam's top five businesses

ILU's, Sincerely Kitchen, Saputo, C Market Coffee and Citadel Speech and Language Services took home prizes from the 2024 PoCo Best Biz Awards ceremony.

Five Port Coquitlam businesses earned civic kudos at a ceremony last night, Feb. 29, at the downtown community centre.

The city handed out its 2024 PoCo Best Biz Awards to the following operators:

  • ILU’s Convenience
    • People’s Choice Award
  • Sincerely Kitchen
    • Small Business of the Year
  • Saputo
    • Business of the Year
  • C Market Coffee
    • New Business of the Year
  • Citadel Speech and Language Services
    • Home-based Business of the Year

Sponsored by the Tri-City News, the Downtown Port Coquitlam Business Improvement Association (BIA) and NiceLife Cocktail Co., the 9th annual awards program drew 130 nominations to recognize PoCo businesses that go over and above for customer service, as well as support the local economy.

“Tonight is a special occasion as we come together to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the remarkable businesses that call Port Coquitlam home,” Mayor Brad West told the audience.

“The City of Port Coquitlam is undeniably on the map, and the renewal and energy we’re seeing in our city makes me wake up every day, excited about what’s ahead. People and businesses are increasingly recognizing the incredible opportunities that our city offers, and it's all thanks to the collective efforts of each and every one of you.”
