Two men are being sought by police after allegedly robbing the Subway sandwich shop at Clarke Road and Como Lake Avenue at around 10:30 Wednesday night.

One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded that the lone store employee get out of the way while he emptied out the cash register.

Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung said the pair made off with about $100 and no other witnesses were in the store at the time of the robbery.

"We have talked to the businesses in the area," he said. "The robbery section is in the process of getting all the video surveillance to see if there is anything they can use."

The first suspect is described as a six-foot Caucasian male in his mid to late 20s. He was wearing black clothes and a black hat. The description of the second suspect is spotty, but investigators believe he was about the same age and size.

Both men had baseball caps and covered their faces with bandanas.
