There's nothing like enjoying a hot dog and a soda or a burger and a beer while watching a lacrosse or hockey game.
But the new concession at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) will have plenty of healthy options, too.
Dozens of menu items are available to tantalize taste buds — from kid-friendly to exotic.
And according to the city, the emphasis is on local ingredients.
Recently, Port Coquitlam Mayor Brad West was featured on Facebook for grabbing a bite to eat that included a grilled cheese sandwich and salad.
The menu features snacks and meals, including Quinoa Teryaki Bowl and Thai Curry Rice Bowl, as well as Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Bagel and veggie burgers, along with hamburgers, cheese burgers, hot dogs, fries and poutine.
Two local breweries are also featured, including Patina Brewing Co.'s Amber Lager and a Hazy IPA from PoCo Brother's Brewery.
The concession is open seven days a week and proof of vaccination is not required.

In October, Port Coquitlam held a grand opening for its $132-million sports and recreation centre.
