Port Moody police and the B.C. Coroner Service are investigating a sudden death in the parking lot of the city’s recreation complex early Sunday, Feb. 16.
In a news release, PMPD spokesperson Const. Sam Zacharias said police were called to the scene by Emergency Health Services at about 5:45 a.m. to help with a person in medical distress. But despite lifesaving efforts by firefighters and paramedics, the male in his late 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Preliminary information suggests the death is not suspicious in nature,” said Zacharias, adding police are asking anyone with additional information to contact investigators at 604-461-3456.
