Photos: Port Moody school wins district field hockey championship

Port Moody's Heritage Woods Kodiaks defeated Coquitlam's Dr. Charles Best Blue Devils, 2-0.

Goals by Pilar Musso and Mia Butkovic led the Heritage Woods Kodiaks to a 2-0 win over the Dr. Charles Best Blue Devils in the SD43 senior girls' field hockey final on Thursday, Oct. 17, at Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park.

Both teams, along with the Centennial Centaurs and Riverside Rapids, qualify for the Fraser North zone finals to be played at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The top two or three teams from that tournament qualify for provincials, Nov. 6 to 8, at Tamanawis field in Surrey.
