Port Coquitlam firefighters said farewell to their retiring chief, Robert Kipps at a special ceremony Thursday, March 14, at Fire Hall #1.
Called a "walkout ceremony," the event marks the change of command to a new chief, Blake Clarkson.
In addition to a colour guard, the ceremony featured a piper, the passing of a special axe and an exit from the hall to a waiting truck to transport Kipps to a reception.
