Hundreds of grade 7 and 8 students in the Tri-Cities were at Pitt River Middle School in Port Coquitlam last Friday (April 14) for the return of the annual School District 43 (SD43) band concert.
Co-organized by Pitt River Middle band teacher Lorne Lambert, the showcase saw band students perform a wide variety of tunes for the audience, from The Mandalorian and Pirates of the Caribbean theme songs to the "YMCA."
It was the first gathering for the middle school music cohort since 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown hit.
