Hundreds of people attended a candlelight vigil at Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam Friday night to pay their respects to Port Coquitlam teen Amanda Todd and other victims of bullying.
Todd, 15, committed suicide two weeks ago after posting a video online detailing the relentless harassment she had endured.
Vigils were held around the world Friday and Coquitlam's was organized by Shawna Iverson whose daughter was in Todd's dance class years ago.
Meanwhile a public service is planned for Saturday, Nov. 17 and details are still being organized. Early reports indicated that the service would be held at Citadel Middle school in Port Coquitlam, however, School District 43 has not yet confirmed the details.
Todd's family, however, announced the service and set up up a legacy fund in the girl's name. Donations can be made online to the Vancouver Foundation or any RBC Canada branch under Amanda Todd's Trust Fund.
