Beautiful, isn't it? C Market Coffee in Port Coquitlam is set to witness this kind of art and more during its second Tri-City Latte Art Competition on Oct. 27, 2022.

A warm cup of coffee topped with white froth in the shape of a swan floating on a lake?

That's art — and talent.

For a second time in three years, Port Coquitlam's C Market Coffee is set to host a popular contest that pins some of the best baristas in the Lower Mainland against each other to show off their artistic abilities.

The Tri-City Latte Art Competition is set for tomorrow (Oct. 27) and the public is being encouraged to attend as its doubling as a fundraiser for the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation (ERHF).

C Market Coffee collected $1,100 from its inaugural event in 2020.

This year, all proceeds from the competition's raffle draws  will be earmarked for much-needed purchases, such as medical equipment, to improve research development and accessibility at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody.

To date, the ERHF's website states the organization has raised more than $33 million to support the hospital's needs.

In addition to watching the artist's work, C Market Coffee spokesperson Brittany Lussier says there'll be food, drinks and a live DJ.

The raffle includes gift cards and prizes from local businesses (see post below).

Admission to watch the Tri-City Latte Art Competition are $20 each, and can be purchased at the door. C Market Coffee is located at 110-820 Village Dr. in Fremont Village.

Tickets for the raffle are $10 per ticket, which can also be purchased online if residents are not able to make the event.

The latte artists will steam it out tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m.
