RCMP believe there's no threat to public safety after responding to reports of shots fired in Coquitlam earlier this week.
A victim house was found, spokesperson Const. John Graham said, but no one inside was not hurt from the city's second known shooting of 2023.
Police are now reaching out to the public for help with the River Springs-area investigation.
Officers were called to the 2000-block of Shaughnessy Place around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday (June 6), when they found the impacted residence.
Victim services has been engaged and Coquitlam Mounties' investigative support team is looking into "the circumstances surrounding this incident," stated a news release today (June 9).
"At this time there does not appear to be any further risk to the public," explained Graham.
RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shots fired to come forward.
This includes those that have dash cam, cell phone, surveillance, CCTV or general footage of the Shaughnessy Place area between 1 and 2 a.m. on June 6.
