Visitors to Port Moody’s Rocky Point Park will now have more late-night parking options after the city moved to streamline time limits in two lots.
Starting Friday, April 30, a time limit of four hours will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Parking outside of those hours is prohibited.
The restrictions will apply to the main lot in front of Rocky Point Pool and a secondary lot in front of the Boathouse Restaurant.
“The new restrictions are being implemented to increase turnover, help provide more equitable access to the park, and create consistency between the two lots,” wrote a city spokesperson in a press release.
Previous restrictions limited parking to four hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the main lot and two hours in the secondary lot.
Anyone in breach of the rules could receive a $100 fine and may be towed.
