Coquitlam residents in detached homes will soon have a quick way to find out how and what can be recycled as of July, when Multi-Material BC (MMBC) takes over collection in the city.
This week, MMBC announced a partnership with ReCollect, a waste collection mobile application developer, to launch an app program for Apple and Android smart phones. The app, via recollect.net, will also feature weekly collection calendars and reminders for residents with curbside collections.
MMBC will start collecting packaging and printed paper materials in Coquitlam on July 2 to coincide with the city's new garbage pick-up contract with BFI Canada, which also starts in July.
