Police are looking for two suspects after one of them assaulted an elderly Coquitlam man, resulting from a confrontation about their unleashed dog that attacked his pet.
Mounties are asking for the public's help in identifying a man, woman and their dog involved in the May 3 incident.
Around 4 p.m. that day, a senior man and woman were walking their dog when it was suddenly attacked by an unleashed dog on the grounds of Montgomery Middle School — located on 1900-block Edgewood Avenue.
An argument then took place between the pet owners, according to RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Paige Kuz.
In retaliation, the male suspect assaulted the elderly man. The senior was left with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
