The Editor:

Re: Column: I've seen a lot of change in the Tri-Cities. Now, it's time to say goodbye (Sept. 30, 2023)

I was saddened to see that Diane Strandberg has decided to retire the pen/computer keyboard for a well-deserved retirement.

I always enjoyed her reporting and appreciated her interpretation of events of the day.

Her columns were the best in the paper, and I want to acknowledge the contribution she made to the community through her sterling work for so many years.

She exemplified the true professional journalist.

Thank you Diane. You will be missed, but I will have fond memories of your views of our world.

Enjoy your retirement. You have earned the right to relax.
