Letter: Does Tri-City traffic feel like driving through New York City?

This letter writer believes commutes are more stressful now and will continue to get worse with new tower developments on the horizon.

Re: Goodbye Denny's. Wesgroup plans six high-rises at Coquitlam mall (Sept. 25, 2024)

With all the multi-storey developments in the Tri-Cities, I feel that the traffic is becoming like Manhattan Island.

There is grid lock during rush hour and even on holidays getting around takes a lot of time.

With the increase in people density even parking is becoming an issue.

The construction companies are laughing all the way to the bank.

This talk about rental units being built is just a smoke screen.

Thousands of families cannot afford the rents in these units.

I think the city administration should stop issuing permits for such endeavours.

As usual, only a few at the top get richer, and the rest have pay for years to come.
