Letter: A regional rail network is needed more than ever

North America in general is way behind on this, hence the traffic issues seemingly everywhere, this Coquitlam letter writer states.

I'm glad to hear there is a real focus on expanding train service.

It would be great, and ambitious I know, to have train service expanded to cover most of the province at some point.

North America in general is way behind on this, hence the traffic issues seemingly everywhere. All of Canada needs to plan for these changes.

I think it is important to try to have the trains be above ground, not a "tube" situation like some older installations.

It is so much healthier, especially for mental health, to be able view the scenery while riding the train.

It would be a positive attribute, and attract more users to leave the car at home and ride the train more often than a tunnel set-up, I believe. 

Obviously a coordinated effort would be ideal.
