Here are the 18 'government-approved' quarantine hotels in Vancouver

The Canadian government has added several more Vancouver hotels to its list of approved quarantine accommodations for travellers arriving by air. 

Travellers entering Canada by air need to book a hotel for a three-night stay upon arrival. They also need to provide a negative result for a COVID-19 molecular test taken within a 72-hour timeframe of their scheduled flight. 

Travellers entering Canada by land also have to use ArriveCAN to enter their information regarding plans to quarantine. 

The Westin Wall Centre Vancouver Airport was the first hotel approved for travellers to Vancouver International Airport. After that, the government added four more accommodations to its list. It added six more on March 1, which brought the number of authorized hotels to 11. 

Now, the government has approved seven more accommodations for quarantine upon arrival in Vancouver.

Government-authorized hotels for travellers entering Canada by air 

All hotels are located near one of the four Canadian airports currently accepting international flights. These accommodations are privately owned and authorized by the Government of Canada.

Some of the hotels offer direct online booking for government-authorized accommodation. For all others, identify that you require accommodation for the COVID-19 mandatory three-night stopover to ensure you are booked correctly.

While in quarantine travellers will have three meals delivered to their rooms but hotel personnel are not permitted inside. Guests will be provided with cleaning supplies.

Violating any instructions provided to you when entering Canada is an offence under the Quarantine Act and could lead to a fine of up to $750,000 and/or up to six months in prison.
