Port Moody's annual Fingerling Festival offers a chance to help support local salmon and learn about vital environmental organizations.

Families are invited to the Fingerling Festival in Port Moody, which will take place at Noons Creek Hatchery and the Port Moody Recreation Centre on May 6.

Get up close and personal with nature next month as Port Moody is gearing up to host its annual Fingerling Festival.

Families are set to enjoy the free event on May 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Port Moody Recreation Centre and Noons Creek Hatchery.

Children will be called upon to help release 40,000 salmon into Noons Creek, enjoy Bobs and Lolo in concert at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., and learn about over 70 environmental organizations.
