Trevor Peacock is dreaming of a warm Christmas after his six-figure online slots victory.
What would you do if you won a major lottery prize a month before the holidays?
For Trevor Peacock, it may be spending Christmas Day with the family in a warmer climate and singing Mele Kalikimaka.
The Coquitlam resident recently won a $259,000 jackpot while playing an online slot machine game on PlayNow.com — owned and operated by the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC).
Peacock said he was home when he pulled the winning spin while playing Chain Reactors on his phone.
The first person he called was his wife, and Peacock said they were both in shock after learning about the big payday.
"It's a blessing," said Peacock in a news release today (Nov. 29).
"This will certainly help us out. We won't have to worry about our mortgage and we can save for our son's future education."
Now, the Peacocks are planning a trip to a "warm" place like Hawaii to enjoy a more special holiday season.
According to BCLC, PlayNow.com has 44 online jackpot games and profits are given back to the province for healthcare, education and community program services.

Peacock is the first known major jackpot winner in the Tri-Cities since Chad Matty of Port Coquitlam won $500,000 in the Daily Grand draw on Aug. 4.
