You might call it a royal doubleheader.
Attending a hockey game between the Coquitlam Express and Powell River Kings on Sunday, Dec. 8, could get you to a concert with the new queen of pop music that evening.
The BC Hockey League (BCHL) team is giving away a pair of ticket’s to Taylor Swift’s Dec. 8 concert at BC Place to a fan attending its game at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex at 3 p.m. the same afternoon.
The winner must be at the game when they’re announced during the third period. They’ll also receive a special prize pack.
“This is an incredible chance for our fans to experience the thrill of a live hockey game with us and then head to one of the biggest concerts in Vancouver,” said Express general manager Tali Campbell in a news release.
Coquitlam is currently in second place in the BCHL’s Coastal Conference, four points behind the Chilliwack Chiefs.
The team has 11 wins and five losses as well as an overtime loss and shootout loss in 18 games.
Tickets to home games can be purchased in advance online or at the door.
