A flipped semi-trailer loaded with pallets caused traffic mayhem on Highway 1 in Burnaby Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the scene near the Douglas Road overpass at 12:15 p.m., according to assistant fire Chief Stewart Colbourne.
He said the driver of the semi had lost control, and the vehicle had tipped onto its side, blocking three lanes of westbound traffic.
There were no injuries, Colborne said, but two tow trucks were being called in to right the semi.
Westbound lanes were closed as crews worked to clean up the scene.
