A 17-year-old female pedestrian was lucky to escape without any serious injuries after she was struck by a white minivan while crossing St. Johns Street Tuesday morning.
The vehicle quickly fled the scene and Port Moody police are searching for a Caucasian male with grey hair, a white beard and glasses who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
The woman was hit in the thigh while crossing northbound at Moray Street and only knew to get out of the way because she was alerted by a driver in a blue Toyota Landcruiser.
No license plate number was obtained but investigators would like to speak with the driver of the minivan and the Landcruiser.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Port Moody Police Department traffic section at 604-461-3456.
