One person was sent to hospital following a stabbing in downtown Coquitlam.
The incident was confirmed to the Tri-City News by RCMP spokesperson Const. Deanna Law, but it's unclear if the victim's injuries were minor or life-threatening.
Just before 4 p.m. on Saturday (Aug. 28), Mounties responded to a call about a stabbing in the area of Pacific Street and Glen Drive.
Witnesses sent photos and videos to the Tri-City News, showing police had taped off the same area in front of the entrance to a business plaza.
The investigation is ongoing and Law said police are speaking with witnesses as well as seeking video of the incident.
No other details — including if an arrest was made — are being released at this time.
