Coquitlam Jr. Reds win first game after Arizona spring training

The April 3, 2025, game against UBC proved a success with an 8-7 score for the Coquitlam baseball team that's part of the Premier Baseball League (PBL).

The Coquitlam Junior Reds won their first game since returning from Arizona spring training on Sunday.

The team under the Premier Baseball League (PBL) banner took the April 3, 2025, game at Mundy Park in a dramatic fashion with an 8-7 walk-off victory against the UBC Thunder.

At the bottom of the seventh inning, the Coquitlam Reds broke the tie when an error throw by UBC scored a run. The local team, coached by Ryan Adamoski, rallied after trailing 0-6 in the fourth inning.

Fraser Warren, Blake Towsley, Gabe Marceau and Mathew Marchant were on the mound for the Reds while Francesco Abbruzzese doubled and scored two runs.

The team next plays a doubleheader on Sunday, April 6, in Abbotsford.

The home opener for the Coquitlam Junior Reds is Tuesday, April 15 versus the Delta Junior Blue Jays at Mundy Park (north of Spani Pool) at 7 p.m.
