A Coquitlam man has died after a cliff-jumping incident in Lynn Canyon in North Vancouver on Sept. 11, the BC Coroners Service has confirmed.
Syed Wajahat Ali, 25, was with friends who were jumping into the pools under the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge on Friday afternoon. After jumping into the pool, Ali was seen to be struggling and then disappeared under the water.
He was found deceased the next day by the RCMP Dive Team in the general area of where he was last seen.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP are continuing to investigate his death.
