Lansdowne Drive residents were woken up early Wednesday morning by the sound of a nearby car crash.
When they went out to check they found a grey Honda "parked" upside-down in their driveway.
"Speed was probably a contributing factor in this incident," said Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung. "Whenever you drive, your focus should be on the road and you should obey all traffic signs. Luckily the occupants were not seriously hurt."
The crash occurred in the 1300-block of Lansdowne Drive, a sharp corner on the north-south route between Guildford Way and David Avenue.
Both the driver and passenger were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was ticketed for driving without due care.
