A Canadian fashion company is making a regional hiring call as its peak sales period nears.
Aritzia is offering up to 400 seasonal positions at its distribution centre in New Westminster in hopes of providing opportunities to those in need of a job during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The facility is a stone's throw away from the Tri-Cities and its Coquitlam Centre Mall boutique, where it opened in November 2019 according to the company's Facebook page.
Since the pandemic began, retail shops have continued to press on despite a worker shortage and subsequent demand for more jobs.
"Aritzia’s Everyday Luxury starts with how we elevate our peoples’ work environment, including industry leading compensation, wellness and care, and bonus perks," the company says in a release sent to the Tri-City News.
The seasonal working period is listed for Sept. 27 to Dec. 31, 2021, and, according to Aritzia, wages are set to start at $21 an hour.
Positions up for grabs include:
- Stocking
- Stacking
- Sorting
- Receiving
- Transporting
- Picking
- Packing
- Shipping
