Choral Connections meets on Tuesday nights for rehearsals in Port Coquitlam.

Are you looking for something fresh to try in the new academic year?

Registration is now open for Choral Connections, an adult singing group that meets on Tuesday nights at the Trinity United Church in Port Coquitlam — and via Zoom.

Led by artistic director Ingrid Gay, the music teacher at Port Moody’s Heritage Woods Secondary, and accompanied by Vincent Lo on piano, the ensemble practises and performs a wide range of musical genres including sacred, classical, pop, rock/folk and Broadway tunes.

In May, Choral Connections wound up its season with a cabaret concert titled Through the Decades; it also sings at community events and stages Christmas shows.

The first rehearsal is Sept. 5 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the church (2211 Prairie Ave.).
