A sports bar and grill popular in eastern Canada is now pushing into B.C., after opening new restaurants in Alberta.
And Port Coquitlam is set to be the latest beachhead in the battle for chicken wing supremacy.
St. Louis Bar and Grill has leased space in Onni's Fremont Village, in an open air mall off Lougheed Highway on PoCo's north side that is also home to The Hive, C Market Coffee roastery and training centre, and Hampton Home Living, as well as Walmart and Canadian Tire.
The sports bar and grill joins a number of new eateries in the area which are catering to Onni's 767-unit multi-residential development under construction in the heart of the centre.
St. Louis Bar and Grill first opened its doors in Toronto in 1992 and is known for its signature wings and fries, garlic dill sauce and "devilishly good" service.
The casual sports bar and grill restaurant is 100 per cent Canadian owned and operated, according to its website.
In February, St. Louis Bar and Grill announced a national and an international expansion, with plans to increase its presence in western Canada, beginning with Alberta, according to Retail Insider.
The menu includes wings and ribs, poutine and fries, salads, bowls, including Thai chicken rice bowl, chicken sandwiches and a beef dip that includes sliced, smoked brisket topped with crispy onions and Swiss cheese.
