Fashion giant H&M has announced via social media that it is re-opening its Coquitlam mall store after a months' long renovation.
The Swedish brand known for garment collecting and recycling is re-opening its Coquitlam Centre mall Thursday (April 27) at 10 a.m., according to a sponsored ad post on Instagram.
According to H&M's building permit with the City of Coquitlam, the value of the renovations was $1.3 million.
In a statement, the company told the Tri-City News that H&M is "constantly looking at our store portfolio and looking at stores that may be older to update and renovate" with the goal of adapting to "changing customer behaviour."
Expect a line-up for the store opening as five "lucky customers" will win a $100 gift card (one per customer), according to the Instagram post.
The upgrade comes as Coqutlam Centre wraps up a renovation of its food court and a Hallmark Gold Crown greeting card and gift store has opened up after a 17-year hiatus.
H&M is currently advertising its spring and summer collection via Instagram.
