Indoor public dining remains off-limits to British Columbians due to an ongoing public health order, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a meal under the sun from your favourite eatery.
To help you track down your next local meal, be it from your favourite ramen spot turned take-out joint or a newly expanded outdoor patio, the city of Coquitlam and Tri-City Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to produce an interactive map detailing over 300 eateries, including 40 establishments with patios or other outdoor seating.
“Coquitlam is a multicultural city, with flavours heralding every corner of the world,” notes the city’s tourism department. “Please support your local business.”
The restaurants have been categorized by type of cuisine, the name of a patio and keywords. Search for “Indian,” for example, and you’ll be directed to Pizza Town Indian Grill & Curry House off Ridgeway Avenue, as well as Lazzez’s Grill and Jamila’s Kitchen & Grill near Coquitlam Centre.
Looking for a pub patio? Take your pick from a list of eight establishments offering an outside pint from Westwood Plateau down to Maillardville.
Any business offering take-out and delivery services, or with outdoor seating, but that is not currently listed on the city’s database, is encouraged to contact [email protected] and inform the Tri-City Chamber of Commerce you are open.
