Sixteen-year-old Jennifer Gillis, a Grade 11 student at Coquitlam's Gleneagle secondary school, belted out Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious on Sunday for her Over the Rainbow audition.
The song, from the 1964 Disney musical film Mary Poppins, earned Gillis a place in the Top 7 after the results show on Monday.
The winner of the contest will be cast as Dorothy in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's new stage production of The Wizard of Oz.
