The cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody are offering free, year-long admissions to all Grade 5 students for drop-in swimming, skating, and gymnasium-based activities, and 12 free admissions for Grade 6 students.
Tri-Cities residents, including residents of Anmore and Belcarra, can register at their community recreation centre by bringing in a letter of verification from their school identifying them as a Grade 5 or 6 student plus proof of age and residency.
The Grade 5 and 6 Get Active! card program encourages youth participation in physical activity, with the goal of creating a pattern of active living that will continue into adulthood.
