What spends its childhood in the water, its adulthood in the forest and stays up all night hunting for bugs?
Join a Metro Vancouver park interpreter in Searching for Salamanders, a program for families with children six years and older running from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 15 at Belcarra Regional Park.
Participants will search for and learn about these shy amphibians, which are often found under leaf litter. They hide by day and hunt insects and worms in the dark.
Call 604-432-6359 to register. Cost is $4.25 per child, youth or senior; $8 per person for adults; or $21.25 per family. Advance registration is required.
